At the age of 7, Jose founded an Innovative Eco-Bank for children
Jose Adolfo Quisocala Condori (13), was probably the youngest banker who founded his own bank called Banco Del Estudiante (Bartselana Student Bank) when he was at the age of 7. This young boy started his innovative Children’s Eco-Bank to allows kids of all ages to become economically and financially independent, and at the same time helping the environment. This Peruvian boy, Jose, now have more than 2000 clients and he offers numerous financial services to children at his bank. In, Banco Del Estudiante, children can start their bank accounts and deposit recyclable waste collected. At the bank, the waste is converted into money and they can withdraw their money or choose to leave it and continue to grow for a bigger target.
Jose had this idea in his mind after he observed the amount of money his classmates used to spend every day on toys, chocolates and even ended on floor. According to Jose, children in Peru do not get pocket money from their parents as many are poverty struck. One day, Jose had a chance to sit with his school principal when his dad was late to pick him up after his school. That is when Jose shared his views with principal and got a chance to show up his idea in a competition. Even though he competed with students who were much older to him, Jose won the competition. He thought of including something to take care of the environment, because in Peru, people tend to litter a lot! Hence his idea gave rise to an Eco-Bank, where he can teach children the habit of saving and being financially independent at the same time, he can also teach children the habit of saving environment;

But I say, if you have a strong desire within you, nobody & nothing can stop you from it.”
