Hassan Sinnan (19) is setting a trend by offering attractive passport covers customized to the clients’ requirement. A student of Christ College, Bengaluru, Hassan always wanted to start something on his own and get into the world of business but lacked knowledge on how and what to start. Finally, when he came to a conclusion on this, the financial requirement to start up his dream business left him awestruck. “My friend Manav is the one who actually pushed me to start on my own and along with him, there were several other people and factors which influenced me for the same. And I’m thankful to all of those!” He says. This young lad started the business with more of debt and a very marginal amount from his pocket. In order to get the best reach on investment, Hassan started up his business through an Instagram page called “LIT Little Things” now for which he has more than 4000 followers. Borrowing money from everyone he knew for the business put him in pressure to pay up people fast and hence made him work more. Garnering support for a business like this do to not come easily. Initially, his family and friends were quite skeptical about his business, but gradually, they too recognized when the demand went high and he started earning. Lit little things soon expanded to create customized key chains, wallets & mobile covers. As far as Instagram as a platform is concerned, Hassan is quite convenient with it for business, but ever since the demand increased for these cute little things, he is working on to make his business Online through a website
It becomes difficult at times to get done his regular hobbies or even getting enough hours of sleep a day in between his classes and business. Those sleep deprived works were a real hurdle
in creating the satisfied customers and becoming a part of the competition. Since the commencement of his business, he switched to Youtube videos for learning purpose so that he could learn even while he is working. Born to a business family in Calicut – the coastal city in the South Indian State of Kerala he very well knew the hardships of business in the initial stages. Son of Afsal Ismail and Shahina Mariyam, Hassan says, “Initial days of business was a lot hard, I had to do everything by myself but quitting was the last thing on my list.”
